National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate Overview

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is the sole examination for admission to undergraduate medical and paramedical courses across India. NEET is held once a year and is essential for students aspiring to pursue medical education in fields such as MBBS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BAMS, Veterinary, and other paramedical courses. The exam is conducted in an offline (pen-and-paper) format, lasting three hours and 20 minutes (200 minutes).

NEET consists of 200 questions from three major subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Out of the total questions, candidates are required to attempt 180 questions. Each correct answer awards 4 marks, while each incorrect answer results in a deduction of 1 mark.
