Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) is a five-and-a-half-year undergraduate program focused on homeopathic medicine, an alternative system of healthcare that emphasizes the use of natural remedies for treating various health conditions. The program combines theoretical learning with practical experience in homeopathic practices, diagnostic techniques, and patient care.

The curriculum includes courses on subjects like homeopathic philosophy, materia medica, homeopathic therapeutics, anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, and homeopathic dispensary management. Students also undergo a clinical internship in which they learn to diagnose and treat patients using homeopathic remedies.

Admissions to the BHMS program in India are based on NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) scores, and candidates must have completed 12th grade with biology, chemistry, and physics.

Graduates of BHMS can work as homeopathic doctors, consultants, researchers, or teachers in hospitals, clinics, pharmaceutical companies, and research institutes. They may also start their own homeopathic practice or pursue postgraduate courses in specialized fields such as homeopathic pathology, repertory, and materia medica.
