Bachelor of Optometry Syllabus

The B.Optom (Bachelor of Optometry) is a four-year undergraduate program that prepares students to become skilled optometrists capable of diagnosing and managing various eye conditions. The course equips students with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for the prevention, detection, and treatment of visual impairments, as well as the management of eye health.

The program focuses on subjects like optics, visual physiology, eye diseases, and contact lens technology, with substantial clinical training to develop hands-on expertise. Optometry graduates can work in hospitals, private practices, clinics, and other healthcare settings as optometrists or vision care specialists.

For more details on optometry regulations and standards in India, refer to the Indian Optometry Association (IOA).
