Central University of Punjab Scholarship

Central University of Punjab offers a range of scholarships to support students based on merit and income. These scholarships include tuition fee waivers and financial assistance for SC/ST, SEBC, NT/DNT categories, and merit-based awards. Eligible students can benefit from up to 100% fee coverage depending on the scheme.

1. Merit-based Scholarships

Eligibility:

  • Minimum 80% in 12th-grade exams.
  • Open to all students based on merit.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Varies based on academic performance and course.

2. SC/ST Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • Must belong to SC or ST category.
  • Family income must be less than ₹2.5 lakh per annum.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Approximately 100% of tuition fees as per government norms.

3. Post-Matric Scholarship for SEBC/NT/DNT Categories

Eligibility:

  • Must belong to SEBC/NT/DNT category.
  • Family income must be less than ₹2 lakh per annum.

Scholarship Amount:

  • Up to ₹50,000, as per government norms.

4. Central University Tuition Fee Waiver (TFWS)

Benefits:

  • No tuition fees (₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000 approx.) for eligible students in specific programs.

Eligibility:

  • Family income must be less than ₹8 lakh per annum.

Additional Details:

  • Admission based strictly on merit through the admission committee.
  • 5% of total seats are reserved for TFWS (e.g., 60 seats = 3 TFWS seats).
  • Applicable for the full course duration (3-4 years depending on the program).

  • Income certificate issued after 31st March by:
    • Mamlatdar
    • Taluka Development Officer (TDO)
    • Collector (Jan Seva Kendra)

Note: Income tax returns, certificates by Sarpanch, etc., are not valid.
