Gujarat University Admission Process
The Gujarat University admission process for UG and PG courses is managed through the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal, which is a centralized system for admission to Gujarat University and its affiliated colleges. The steps involved are as follows:
Step 1: Registration on GCAS Portal
- Visit the GCAS Portal and register with details like your name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID.
- Fill in your academic details, including marksheets, category certificates, and upload the necessary documents such as photo, signature, mark-sheets, and others.
- Pay a registration fee of INR 300.
Step 2: Preference Filling
- Once registered, log in to the GCAS portal, and fill in your preference for the course and college of your choice. Rearrange your preferences to improve the chances of securing a seat in your desired program.
Step 3: Provisional Admission Offer
- Based on your marks, merit, and the availability of seats, Gujarat University will release a provisional admission offer letter. This will be available for download through the GCAS portal.
Step 4: Reporting to the College
- After receiving the provisional admission letter, students must report to the respective college with all the original documents and the admission offer letter. Out-of-state candidates will need to obtain a Provisional Eligibility Certificate (PEC) from Gujarat University.
Step 5: Document Verification and Admission
- The college will verify all submitted documents. If everything is correct, students will be offered admission after the payment of the admission fees.
