Vardhman Mahaveer Open University Scholarship

Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU) offers various scholarships, including MYSY, SC/ST fee waivers, and TFWS, aimed at supporting students based on merit and family income. These schemes cover tuition fees for eligible students, with financial aid ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹50,000, and provide full fee waivers for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

1. Mukhyamantri Yuva Swalamban Yojana (MYSY)

  • Eligibility:
    • Minimum 80 percentile in 10th/12th exam.
    • Family income must be less than ₹6 lakh/annum.
  • Scholarship Amount:
    • Degree Engineering: ₹50,000 or 50% of tuition fees, whichever is less.
    • Diploma Engineering: ₹25,000 or 50% of tuition fees, whichever is less.
    • B.Com/BBA/BCA/B.Sc: ₹10,000 or 50% of tuition fees, whichever is less.

2. Scholarships for SC/ST Students

  • Eligibility:
    • Must belong to SC or ST category.
    • Family income must be less than ₹2.5 lakh/annum.
  • Scholarship Amount:
    • Approximately 100% of tuition fees as per Government norms.

3. Post-Matric Scholarship

  • Eligibility:
    • Must belong to SEBC/NT/DNT category.
    • Family income must be less than ₹2 lakh/annum.
  • Scholarship Amount:
    • As per Government norms, up to ₹50,000.

4. Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS)

  • Benefits:
    • No tuition fees (₹60,000 to ₹1,00,000 approx.) in SFI Institutes.
  • Eligibility:
    • Family income must be less than ₹8 lakh/annum.
    • Admission based strictly on merit through the admission committee.
  • Details:
    • 5% of total seats reserved for TFWS (e.g., for 60 seats, 3 TFWS seats).
    • Scheme applicable for the full course duration (4 years).
  • Required Documents:
    • Income certificate issued after 31st March by:
      • Mamlatdar
      • Taluka Development Officer (TDO)
      • Collector (Jan Seva Kendra)
    • Note: Income tax returns, certificates by Sarpanch, etc., are not valid.
