Vishwakarma Skill University Overview
Vishvakarma Skills University (VSU), located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is a state-funded institution established by the Government of Rajasthan under Act No. 6 of 2017, originally named Rajasthan ILD Skills University. On August 10, 2023, it was renamed Vishvakarma Skills University through Act No. 16 of 2023. This change was recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) on January 3, 2024, under Notification No. F9-23/2017 (CPP1/PU).
The university's vision is to promote excellence in skill education through an integrated and holistic approach, aiming to emerge as a leading institution of quality in skill education, recognized nationally and internationally. VSU focuses on developing credit frameworks aligned with National Occupational Standards and collaborates with industries to provide practical training and define competency norms. The university is committed to bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application, cultivating a highly skilled workforce aligned with industry demands.
